SOS Approach to Feeding: Assessment and Treatment of Pediatric Feeding Challenges Training Course

Part 1 (Prerequisite): 9 hours of pre-recorded online lecture material

Part 2: 4 days of in-person, live onsite lecture

The Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding program is a trans-disciplinary program for assessing and treating children with feeding difficulties and weight/growth problems from birth to 18 years. The program integrates posture, sensory, oral motor, developmental, behavioral/learning, psychosocial, medical, and nutritional factors to comprehensively evaluate and manage children with feeding/growth problems.

• Attendees receive foundational information regarding feeding development, evaluation, and SOS Treatment.

• Training is delivered in a Hybrid format (pre-recorded online and in-person segments).

o The Online Segment consists of 6 Chapters totaling 9 hours of lecture and client videos.

o The In-Person Segment includes lecture, client videos, case presentations, hands-on exercises, and group activities.

• Attendees receive a Certificate of Completion that is eligible for submission to Professional Organizations for Continuing Education Hours earned during course.

Note: Participants will be expected to complete the first pre-recorded 9 hours of the course independently online, PRIOR to the start of the 4 days of In-Person Segment of the Training Course. Participants are required to complete the prerequisite Online Segment and to pass 5 Chapter Tests with a minimum score of 80% at least ONE week BEFORE the first day of the 4-day, In-Person Segment of the course in order to participate and attend the In-Person Segment of the course.

Pacific is proud to collaborate with the Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment at the University of Missouri, the Life Span Institute at the University of Kansas, and the Global Autism Interactive Network (GAIN) to bring Dr. Steve Kanne and Dr. Kourtney Nigh to Malaysia for the first-ever ADOS-2 Introductory Clinical Training and ADOS-2 Advanced Research Training!

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our upcoming training program, ADOS-2: Introductory Clinical and Advanced Research Training — a comprehensive hands-on program to equip clinicians, researchers and other professionals working in ASD assessments with essential skills to pursue research reliability, confidently and appropriately use the ADOS-2, the gold-standard tool for ASD assessment worldwide.
